We had a visit last week from 21 Italian students from Tuscany!
The business students were staying in Abergele, and were keen to visit a few local businesses to see how they were managed and marketed. Their particular interest is in the Slow Food Movement, which is a global organisation working to reconnect people with where their food comes from and how it is produced. It encourages people to choose nutritious, great tasting food from local sources.
We showed the students around the farm and shop, explaining how things work and then set them a marketing exercise; to create and market a product containing garlic, which they took on enthusiastically and with good results!
It was very interesting, and a lot of fun, and both ourselves and the students gained something from their visit.
